Who is responsible

SPACE CADET d.o.o. is the data controller for Uptime Gladiator. This page says what we collect, why, and what your rights are under the GDPR.

What we collect

Account: your email and sign-in, handled by Clerk, our authentication provider; your handle, brand colour and optional logo URL. Monitoring: the URLs you add and the results of checking them — status codes, response times, up and down minutes. Game: points, tiers, duel results. Payments: handled entirely by Polar as merchant of record; we receive your subscription status, never your card. Usage: we measure traffic with OpenPanel, an open-source analytics service, for every visitor. It is cookieless: nothing is stored on your device and nothing follows you to other sites. We also count our own events, such as signups and sponsor-banner impressions. There is no advertising tracker on the site.

Why, and on what basis

To run the service you asked for (contract): accounts, monitoring, duels, alerts, payments. To keep the service working and honest (legitimate interest): rate limits, abuse prevention, security. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Public by design

This is a public arena. Your handle, colours, logo, tier, uptime numbers and fight results appear on public pages, share images and the badge. Your email and monitor URLs are not public — the arena shows uptime, not addresses, unless you are an observed company we list by domain.

Processors and transfers

We use Clerk (authentication), Polar (payments, as merchant of record), Convex (database), Vercel (hosting), OpenPanel (cookieless analytics) and Amazon Web Services (the three-region checkers). Some are in the United States; transfers rest on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

Retention and your rights

We keep account data while the account exists, and delete it on request. Aggregated uptime history for public, observed companies is a record of our own measurements and may be kept. You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing — contact hello@uptimegladiator.com. You can also complain to your supervisory authority; ours is AZOP, the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency.
